At first I was skeptical..I use very thick picks because for my style of playing, rigidity is a must. Now after trying a tonetek, I can't use anything else. My speed has increased IMMENSELY and I believe my tone is so much better. Trust me...you've got to try this pick!

Wow, I am very happy with this pick ... I get a much better tone when using this pick. I have used it on the bass as well with the same results.

This pick is incredible! I immediately was able to play faster using the ToneTek and the improvement in tone was amazing. I also like the different sounds capable with this pick including a cool whammy effect. The ToneTek sounds great on an acoustic too producing a much brighter and louder tone.

An impressive and innovative tool for any guitarist's arsenal.

After having had trouble with 'sweep' technique ever since I first attempted it, I've finally got it down pat using the Heavy Metal (and I only received it three weeks ago!). The tip design allows clear and precise picking with a minimum of resistance, perfect for, well really any picking technique I can think of. The low-resistance pick-tip even works superbly for strumming, where a light-gauge pick would normally be preferred.
And just so no one thinks the pick tip is only good for 'heavy' picking, all it takes is a small rotation of the heavy metal (toward the point where the pick-tip meets the rounded side) to produce a consistently gentle and very smooth picking attack.

For tapping licks, this little baby reigns supreme. Because only a light touch is needed to sound the note (the rounded sides of the Heavy Metal act much like a fret or a very small slide wherever it touches the string), insanely fast tapping action is possible. Also, the ability to slide between notes (using the pick) while tapping creates a huge amount of new possibilities.

As I said, I've only had this clever device for three weeks now, and as you can see I've discovered and explored a wide variety of techniques at which it excels.
I look forward to more fully exploring all the Heavy Metal's capabilities in the months and years to come, but already I can say I won't be going back to ordinary one-trick picks - I don't think I could stand it!

This is easily the best pick I've ever used. For anyone with even the slightest desire to play guitar well this pick is required. I've used jazz picks and glass picks and this one is still noticeably faster, and it actually makes you faster and more accurate. Even a virtuoso guitarist would notice the difference.

Using it to pick makes your making more accurate, even if you used another pick again. It's so easy to play fast with it that it develops your picking hand on its own.

The same goes for tapping. This pick makes tapping so fast that it increases your speed and coordination with tapping. Even if you went back to tapping with your finger, you still notice the difference.

This pick definitely makes a superior tone compared to normal picks so there's really no reason to use another pick, unless you usually use a thumb pick and your fingers. Even then, this pick will actually make you better, and there are some things you can do with this pick that you can't do with others. Harmonics are extremely easy, and you can use it as a slide and to play notes past the fretboard.

If I had the money I'd buy ten so losing one wouldn't be such a huge deal. SOme things are basically unnecessary to be a good guitarist, like boiling strings; but this pick is definitely necessary.

This pick can create a whole new level of playing, and also the music today. For the creative one's out there looking for something different, I do recommend this pick. Soft clean tone, Heavy metal brutallity, eerie and unusual sounds, even great with acoustic guitars, This pick is the one. $30 bucks, and worth every single penny. You cant live without it once you play on one of these babys!!!!

Just an update.Down here(New Zealand)Tone Tek is unknown...it has become my secret weapon,no other pick i know of does what it can do.I use to use alot of effects,i now go on stage with guitar, amp and Tone Tek pick,i then proceed to emulate whammy pedals, keyboards,dj scratching, micro tappin from hell etc..if you havnt got 1 ,GET 1,improve your command of your chosen instrument, better tone, clarity, speed, execution.
